Assam TET 2021 Online Application- Lower Primary And Upper Primary

A notice about the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test Assam has been published by the Department of Elementary Education, Assam. The examination has been conducted for the posts of Lower Primary (LP) Teacher and Upper Primary (UP) Teacher. Interested candidates can apply online for Assam TET 2021 as of 15 September 2021. The submission deadline for online applications is 25 September 2021. From the official website, candidates are able to submit their applications for the Examinations. Assam Teacher Eligibility Test examination will be conducted in Assam on 24 October 2021. Applications for AET Papers 1 & 2 should be submitted before the deadline. Eligibility Criteria for Assam TET

The eligibility criteria of a candidate to appear in TET are as follows:
A. Candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
B. Candidate must have a minimum academic and professional qualification as follows:

Lower Primary TET (Classes I to V):

a) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) obtained from any recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in class I to V, provided the person so appointed as a teacher will have to mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE within two years of such appointment as the primary teacher.

b) A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February 2011, may also apply for TET. However, he can apply for an appointment only after acquiring all the required qualifications.

Remark: Candidate those who were admitted in D.El.Ed program before 31st August 2009 please refer to Clause B under subheading Relaxation.

Upper Primary TET (Classes VI to VIII):

a) Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed) OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./B. Sc. Ed. Or B.A. Ed/B. Sc. Ed. OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B. Ed.(Special Education)

Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu announced that the Teachers’ Eligibility Test will be held in October 2021. During a press conference held at Sarba Siksha Abhijan’s office in Kahilipara, the Education Minister announced this.

Member Secretary, Empowered Committee on Elementary TET, Government of Assam has released the notification for the most awaited Teachers’ Eligibility Test for Lower Primary and Upper Primary level for the state of Assam. The Assam TET 2021 will be held on 24 October 2021 , and online applications will begin on 15 September 2021.

Zones Code of TET Exam 2021

Each district has been divided into different zones, and when a candidate applies for the TET, they have to choose their preferred zone. In accordance with the Government Notification No PMA.277/2019/7-A dated 22/08/2019, a candidate who qualified in TET will be given preference for engagement as a teacher in his preferred Zone.

  • Before filling out an application form and paying fees, candidates verify their eligibility. 
  • Fee is Non-Refundable and Non-Adjustable.
  • Passwords given by candidates should be written down and protected. It is necessary for further login.
  • Applicant email id and mobile number will be used for further correspondence.
  • Please make sure that the photograph and signature are no larger than 35KB and 30KB, respectively. Photographs and signatures must be in “.jpg” or “.jpeg” format
