Gauhati University PG Admission 2021
The Gauhati University, one of the most reputable universities of higher learning in Assam, is set to release its online Post Graduate (PG) admission process soon. Through this portal, students can submit their applications to graduate programs such as the Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MSc), and Master of Commerce (MCom). Graduates from recognized universities and those whose results are still pending may apply online.
GU PG Entrance 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Interested candidates having the below listed qualifications can apply for Common Entrance Test for PG Admission at Gauhati University online.
1. MA and MSc Courses
The following qualifications are required for admission to the Master in Arts (MA) and Master in Science (MSc) programs.
- BA / BSc in the 10+2+3 pattern with Major / Honours in the relevant subject.
- BCom in the 10+2+3 pattern with at least 45% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in aggregate in the General Course.
The 45% marks will be calculated based on marks obtained in Part-I & II for courses in the 2 + 1-pattern and on marks obtained in Part I, II, & III for courses in the 1 + 1 + 1-pattern.
2. MCom Course
The following qualifications must be met for admission to the Master of Commerce (MCom) program.
- BCom in the 10+2+3 pattern with Major course.
- Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Science in the 10+2+3 pattern with 45% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in the concerned subject.
GU PG Common Entrance Test 2021
During the session 2021-22, Gauhati University will conduct a Common Entrance Test for admission into various Post Graduate Courses (both for the University Departments and the University Affiliated Colleges). The performance and eligibility criteria of the Entrance Examination will be the deciding factors for admission.
Offline entrance exams will be held in September 2021.
