Assam Navodaya Admission 2021 – Class 6th JNVST, Online Application

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has announced the schedule of the upcoming Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test, 2022 for the academic session 2022-23. Students interested in gaining admission into Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas of Assam must appear in this JNVST examination. The government of India started Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) in accordance with its National Policy of Education (1986). JNVs are currently spread across 27 states and 8 union territories. The government of India fully finances and administers these co-educational residential schools through an autonomous organization, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

Assam Navodaya Admission 2021

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has issued an official announcement regarding the selection test for the upcoming Class 6th Navodaya Admissions 2022-23. The selection test for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) is called JNVST. Students who intend to complete their studies with the JNVs will need to apply online. A selection test is conducted every year by the Navodaya Vidhyalaya Samiti for selecting deserving students to enter Class 6th. Various facilities are provided by the Government of India at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) to assist meritorious and poor students to achieve their dreams.

Eligibility Criteria of Assam Navodaya Admission

District: Only the candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply for admission.

Age Limit: A candidate seeking admission must not have been born before 1st May 2009 and after 30th April 2013 (both dates are inclusive). This will apply to candidates of all categories.

Current Study: A candidate appearing for the selection test must be studying in Class-V for the whole of the academic session 2021-22 in a Government/Government aided or other recognized schools or ‘B’ certificate competency course of National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district where he/she is seeking admission.

Previous Admission: Candidate who has not been promoted and admitted to Class-V before 15th September, 2021 is not eligible to apply.

Attempt Limit: No candidate is eligible to appear in the selection test for the second time, under any circumstances.

What is Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test?

Due to the limited number of seats available in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidhyalaya Samiti conducts an examination known as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). The NVS approves students’ admissions based on their scores in the JNVST. JNVST is a main process of admission into the Navodaya Vidyalaya.

How to Apply for Assam Navodaya Admission?

Online application submission has simplified the process for applying to the JNV Selection Test. You can register for free through the admission portal of NVS at www.navodaya.gov.in or navodaya.gov.in/nvs/en/Admission-JNVST/JNVST-class. Verification of proofs for residence, age, eligibility etc. will be done for selected candidates through the laid down procedure after the declaration of results.

  • Check Have you read the prospectus? and click Proceed.
  • Fill out the form carefully with all the required details.
  • Upload the required documents in the upload document section.
  • Once you have completed the above step, click on Save & Preview.
  • You will then be able to see a preview of your application and can click on Submit your application at the end.
  • You will receive a Registration No. and an acknowledgment copy of your application after submitting it successfully. Make sure you keep these for future reference.

Composition of JNV Selection Test

The selection test will be of two-hour duration from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and will have 3 sections with only objective type questions. There are 80 questions in all for 100 marks.
