Belgium to cover 'love' tag on shirts after FIFA demand

FIFA requested that the word "love" be removed, and sources have told ESPN that Belgium has decided to cover it up on the inside of their away shirts.

The decision was made on Monday by the Belgian FA (RBFA), who also informed FIFA of their plans.

The away shirt had the word "love" printed inside the collar as part of a Belgium-Tomorrowland collaboration that was announced in June.

It had nothing to do with the OneLove anti-discrimination campaign that European teams had started before the World Cup and that was scrapped on Monday.

ESPN was informed by sources that FIFA ordered Belgium to remove the tags on Sunday after categorically declining to speak with the RBFA about the situation.
