In a joint appearance with Andy Garcia on Thursday's TODAY show, Gloria Estefan revealed unexpected information.
The actress said the kiss she shared with her 66-year-old co-star Garcia in her new film Father of the Bride was the first time in 47 years she shared with a guy outside her husband Emilio Estefan.
They got engaged in September 1978 after having a formal courtship since 1976.
"He's the first person I've kissed since Emilio in 47 years," the Kanga singer said on the TODAY show.
Later on Thursday, during a separate interview on The View, the Grammy Award winner revealed that while Andy was someone she knew and was close to, kissing her was simpler than any other actor.
Therefore, it was much easier to befriend Andy than to befriend a stranger.
But I have to admit, I was a little worried," she said.
Gloria made her notable acting debut in the 1999 film Music of the Heart, which also featured the brilliant actress Meryl Streep.
