If your flight is delayed, you may be entitled to a $500 hotel stay.

There is a catch to the free hotel stay that customers can get if their flight is delayed, according to a LAWYER.

Erika Kullberg, a lawyer with over 4 million Instagram followers, frequently shares money-saving advice and little-known legal tips.

Erika demonstrates in one of her videos how to receive a free hotel room if your flight is delayed.

In the skit, Erika requests to reserve a hotel suite for $500 because "it's free," but the front desk clerk informs her that she must pay the fee.

Erika commands her audience to "watch this" while glancing into the camera. "In actuality, I'm getting this room for nothing. Since my flight was over six hours late," she said.

"The company that issues my credit card reimburses expenses up to $500 per ticketed passenger."

It stated, "Trip Delay Insurance can help reimburse certain additional expenses purchased with your same Eligible Card, up to $500 per trip if a round-trip is fully paid for with your Eligible Card and a covered reason delays your trip by more than 6 hours. "

This is only permitted for up to two claims per Eligible Card over the course of a 12-month period.
