The drama between Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets has suddenly intensified as the NBA summer for 2022 begins.
According to league sources cited by Shams Charania of The Athletic, the two sides have apparently struck a deadlock over an extended partnership.
He further said that this could be a sign that the star point guard is ready to break the road and sign with another team.
Irving is in the final year of his contract, which pays him $36.9 million for the 2022-2023 season
He may exit and get a bigger contract with the Nets this summer.
Last May, GM Sean Marks made some critical remarks about Irving, stating that Brooklyn prioritizes getting players committed to their successful endeavor.
