Rumor has it that Rare's banjo-kazoo will be back
Rare Banjo Kazooie is rumored to return, starring Bear and Bird, who made a name for himself during the Nintendo 64 age.
"For months, I've heard that the banjo is on its way from a variety of sources. There's something wrong with the banjo, but I can't tell you what it is."
MVG went on to describe something that "feels strong" about Banjo-related during the Xbox Game Show and Bethesda made a follow-up comment today.
Nutz & Boltz is the final installment of the banjo-kazooie series. It was released exclusively on the Xbox 360 in 2008, and is widely regarded as a game that fell short of the early Nintendo 64 releases from 1998 and 2000.
Despite the fact that the IP is currently owned by Microsoft, Nintendo Switch players will remember that the iconic combo has returned to Nintendo systems on several occasions.
Banjo-Kazooie debuted as a DLC fighter in Super Smash Bros. 3 three years ago.
The original Nintendo 64 game was also available on the Nintendo Switch online service earlier this year.
The unusual old school game Banjo-Kazooie isn't the only one reported to be making a comeback.
